The Small Architect's Villa Santorini Greece

I am just in awe as I sort through our photos from Greece. I would like to show you the last place we stayed at on our trip.  We found this house on airbnb and fell in love with it!
The view was spectacular from the rooftop, the rooms were funky and really cool. Most of the items and linens were from Ikea but the design of the house was extremely unique. The bright colors were even brighter than they seemed online. Enough said...Here is the dream villa

This is a 2 floor house and really can be rented for 2 families easily. Everything was separate including kitchen and bath

The outdoor area was really nice and private

The stairs to the upper floor

As soon as we arrived I told the boys to sit down and check out the wifi so I could go around and snap photos before they messed up the place

Bedroom 1

Now we are on the upper floor

Bedroom 2

Stairs to rooftop

Yours truly enjoying the view

As you can imagine the sunsets were amazing on this rooftop

I am including the link to the villa if you are interested. The house sleeps 4 comfortably and 2 on a couch which is actually nice and soft. We were in walking distance to everything and people were extremely nice. The person that is in charge of the rental was very nice and the communication was superb. Check it out HERE

Hotel Korali in Naxos Greece

Today I am sharing with you the boutique hotel we stayed at in Naxos Greece. I took a bit of a risk and booked everything through airbnb which actually worked out really well. Naxos took us by surprise. The Island is absolutely beautiful and we felt like at home. It didn't hurt that there is a huge Scandinavian community there. A whole lot of Danes and few of the menu's were in Danish.
We rented a room for 3 and we were pleasantly surprised how the pictures online matched the room we got. So comfortable, stylish and clean. We were minutes away from St. George's beach. Here are some photos that I snapped once we came inside....

Everything was nice and clean and newly renovated

Bamboo ceiling

A little kitchenette which was perfect

I personally loved the bathroom....all tiles that looked like wood

A small balcony...perfect for eating breakfast

A beautiful entrance

This is the hallway between 3 rooms that are equally stylish and comfortable. It would be really cool to stay there with a big group...just sayin...
I am certain we will be back! We paid $40 for the night....What's not to love?

New Hampshire

This weekend was filled with fun. We attended our son's soccer game where he scored a goal, I got to spend some quality time with my daughter and then meeting Friends up in a summer house in Richmond NH.  It was my first time staying up there in the house owned by one of our friends family. The house is built Circa 1767 and is so interesting that I decided to share it with you.
Let's start outside, When we arrived Saturday afternoon the crew was already on their 3rd G&T playing Crockett...Instead of playing I walked around the property taking it all in and snapping photos....I mean how can you not?

Let's go inside and take a look...This is the living room not terribly big which makes sense. I guess people gathered in front of the fireplace to stay warm. Every single room is closed off with doors to keep the heat in

Very intricate collections of furniture and things...Accumulation through the years of odds and ends. The family that owns the house consists of parents with 3 grown children that have their own kids and this is their gathering place. Each family has their own bedroom. How cool is it to spend the summers there as a child and then pass the tradition on to your own kids...So many memories!

I was especially taken by the whitewashed doors

Kitty door!

Next is the kitchen

I found this picture below very funny...This modern radio sticks out in the collection of old things

Organized chaos...Every little thing has it's place

Here is the Loo... when nature calls you can all go together...Mommy, Daddy and Baby LOL!

Dining Room

Here are some mix and match of photos...I didn't take pictures in all of the bedrooms, instead I snapped pictures of what intrigued me

The next day we hung out, went for a long walk, swam in the pond and enjoyed nature

I borrowed these beautiful pictures from a friend since my camera died...Interesting collection of mushrooms and fungus

That's all for now folks
Hope you enjoyed all the pictures!
