A little sidetracked...

Today I had to do some cleaning after all the work I have been having done in the house.

It was dusty more than anything from sanding the wood floor. Walls and cabinets needed a good pet me down too...So sometimes when I start cleaning I get sidetracked and start arranging things back and forth....I don't know it just makes the task more fun I guess...

I love mixing dark and light together, the Autumn season is almost over but I am enjoying the pumpkins and gourds a little bit longer.

What do you think of the little birds? Adorable right...They are actually pepper and salt shakers!

Fabulous Fall

IT IS TIME...Time to take down the summer decorations and greenery and make space for fall.

But before I did that I took a couple of photos of existing things, maybe for next years inspiration 

The summer stuff was packed nicely in plastic boxes for next year

I have to tell ya...pretty impressed with myself to come up with this gourd or watchamacallit thing that I have had for several years and this candleholder....Clever...I think I can thank Pinterest!

It's getting darker so much earlier now, daylight savings will be here soon enough... bring out the candles...and blankets

Fall Mood

It's still really warm here in Boston so when I go to stores and see all the Fall/Halloween/Thanksgiving stuff out on display I am not really inspired.
Fall is my favorite season though and I know the temp change will hit us pretty soon. I for one will be really relieved since I am not crazy about hot and humid weather.

The Pumpkins are not quite in the stores yet but soon enough there will be oodles of pumpkins, some exotic looking gourds, and plenty of Apples

I already bought few Mum's and planted in pots....A beautiful blooming fall flower...one of my favorite things about Fall!

Often times Kale is added as a decoration

Acorns Acorns Acorns....Plenty of those on the ground...all the picture frames with acorn's glued to them I used to do with the kids...Ahhh sweet memories!

After looking at these pictures I think I am closer to being in a fall mood than before
