Pillows

Hey there....I have been quiet for a bit but busy...
Last week I went to Joanne's Fabrics and saw that they were getting rid of those upholstery remnants that served once as samples... 2 bucks each for a 12x12 square so I spent about $20 and got random patterns...most of them plain but here are some of the patterned one's

I went home and printed out images from the Graphics Fairy
Everything on the site is pretty organized but I know it can be overwhelming. I personally googled graphics fairy reverse image and got the links from there very quickly

Once I printed it on Iron-On paper I trimmed it and ironed it on according to directions.
I dug out my sewing machine which I have not touched it since 12 years ago. At that time I was s hot and heavy into quilting...Oh boy...I think the sewing machine missed me terribly...
Since the squares were 12X12 already I just sewed 2 together and made sure that I had a pattern on the back because these are all samples and none in the same color

Here is the back of one of the pillows I made, and below is the rest of the ones I made...I spread them around the house and they all look great!

I went on google and googled Iceland/Images and this picture popped up. I am not sure if this is Copyright or not but I did reverse it and print it out. I noticed afterwards that the geography isn't quite correct but it's minor at this point so as long as I know what it looks like and it's for my own pleasure then it shouldn't matter...

so that's what I've been up to lately. I am also packing for a trip to Iceland. I am looking forward to that. My sister recently moved to another apartment so I was needed to come over for some apartment therapy...After my Iceland stay I am meeting up with Hubby in Ireland for some Work/R&R for a week... Should be fun!
Enjoy the rest of your Monday Peeps

Round Up Accessories

Around the bathtub....here we go again... Dusting is something I hate with passion but you have to do it. Last time I took a bath I looked around me and found myself appalled how dusty everything was...
To motivate myself I just grabbed everything off the shelves around the tub and cleaned...
My next project is this bathroom for sure. It needs to be upgraded. Hopefully by next Fall I will have an idea what to do, but in the meantime I will just beautify it a little bit to make it more appealing and functional...
HERE is the link to the post of my last bathroom shenanigans.

A little rustic looking but I am the only one that takes baths so I was getting bored...Time for a change

I wanted to create a softer and lighter feeling....so when I came across this pink claw foot bathtub at Michaels I knew it had to come home with me!

I was thinking something like this...Storage container for shampoo and soaps

I got these cute little hooks also at Michaels (Ashland collection 50% off this week)

A paper bird and a B sign for Bath or Me!
Okay...I was all set to start decorating around the bathtub...it looked very empty and lonely
(but squeaky clean)

So I started arranging...this and that together....after almost an hour I decided to stop...I just wasn't feeling it...not in the mood and uninspired so I did the right thing...left it like this and decided to sleep on it...(totally out of character for me)
Today I started again and what a difference...I will let the pictures speak but I am really happy with the outcome. Afterwards I soaked in the tub with all candles lit and enjoyed the snowy day off!

Enjoy your day!

Glassware

If you had asked me few years ago if I liked glassware the answer would be Uhhh No!
I am not sure if hitting 40 has anything to do with this but lately I am starting to like glassware and silver things...I am not quite there with crystal but that might change...who knows!

As I was making dinner last week I got a phone call from Hubby saying he was held up in traffic and to go ahead and start eating without him...I decided to wait since we weren't that hungry but set the table just for fun...

It's fun to set up the table nice without a reason...I think the food even tastes better
Enjoy your day

Beadz...

I started beading 8 years ago when I took an evening class just to get out of the house when the kids were little and got totally hooked. I don't necessarily just make jewelry but that's part of the fun. I love those dangly things and pendants.
As I get older I realize that my style and taste changes...ohh yes I am talking about that sparkly stuff and glitz... I am lucky enough to have my own craft room where everything has it's place since the hobbies I have are numerous.... My childhood girlfriend at home (Iceland)  shares the same passion for beading as me...It really makes such a difference when you share ideas and interest with someone else.

But let's talk Jewelry...

So I was trying to come up with a great idea to store my long necklaces...In the past I have kept them in  the jewelry drawer but when I am getting dressed I want to see them...after all if I don't have jewelry on then I feel naked...right ladies?
I opted for a really simple solution, I bought some of those plastic Command hooks (damage free hanging) and hung up in my walk in closet. Some of the necklaces are a bit heavy but those hooks are awesome and  VERY sturdy.

I keep my earrings on that Tree that Hubz gave me for Christmas....It's great and I love it...

I know....I totally get it.... some "People" get all Latino when they travel somewhere warm and please don't judge me because I didn't make my bed this morning...

I love those little stands where you can store your shorter necklaces...
this one I found at Michaels way back... (I think)

So yeahh...
Thanks for stopping by and checking my jewelry out...nothing fancy for sure
but it's all good!
Enjoy your weekend
